Dodge® flex-fuel vehicles (FFV) are designed to run on conventional unleaded gasoline or E85 (85% ethanol,
15% gasoline) or any blend of the two. This allows you to take advantage of cleaner-burning E85 alternative
fuel wherever it's available.

The ethanol in E85 is essentially produced from corn. Because alcohol fuels are corrosive, FFV engine and
fuel systems are specially designed to accept gasoline/alcohol combinations. The fuel mixture is detected by
sensors in the system that in turn signal the engine control unit to adjust the fuel injection rate and spark
timing for optimal performance, fuel economy, and emissions.

The ethanol in E85:

Is renewable. It's produced by U.S. farmers from renewable crops, so we may never run out
Is produced domestically. Current ethanol production reduces the need to import 46.7 million barrels of oil a
year
Lowers tailpipe emissions and contributes to cleaner air for everyone
Poses less risk than other fuel additives to groundwater in the event of underground tank or pipeline leakage
